New Direction, New Look

It certainly has been a couple of whirl-wind months for my scrapbooking business.  With the announcements from TLC, and their changing of business model, and company name - I have had to make my own adjustments as well.  Some of you may have read my earlier post “So I’ve Been Thinking…” , and for the most part a lot of that still stands.  However, I am finding so many other aspects of scrapbooking, the craft and the business, that I want to bring to my site, and this blog.

So, I’ve started with a new look here.  See my two cute kiddos??  I like the clean look of this template (though I may try to do something about the color of the links/tags).  And as far as content??  I plan to add more scrapbooking articles here as well, as I combine my ScrappinWAHM site and this blog into one location.  That may mean a new address for the blog - but I will post those plans as they are firmed up.  Give you all plenty of notice. ;)

Stay tuned, no matter what the future holds for my scrapbooking business (remember I am a Scrappin WAHM) I have a feeling the best is yet to come!

So, I’ve been thinking…

By now the news has spread throughout the scrapbooking, and direct sales worlds that Top Line Creations is now operating as a discount Buyer’s Club. Involuntarily, I’ve had to make some adjustments, and some changes in my own scrapbooking business. I’ve also had to take some time to do some thinking, in deciding what I wanted to do.

I have decided to remain a member of TLC’s new Buyer’s Club. I love their scrapbook products, always have! I am also keeping my website - http://www.member.topline-creations.com/lhaugh - as it will now be the landing page for those I refer, or who ask me for information about Top Line Creations, or the discount Buyer’s Club. And (full-disclosure here) I do receive a Referral Bonus for each Buyer’s Club member who joins through my Member site, or uses my member #420635 when they join. We’ve also been told that we will earn some %-age on orders placed through our websites. ;)

Some may disagree with my decision to stay with a company that could conduct business the way TLC did in it’s handling of the dissolution of all Consultantships. It effected all of us in different ways, and we’ve all had to make the decision that was best for us, and our way of doing business. After the dust settled, and I took a good hard look at what I had, and how I was building my business - this blog, my website ScrappinWAHM, plus the marketing and advertising plans I had for the future.

Adjustments will be made, but what won’t change is I’ll still be able to bring you all the latest news, and products from the cutting edge scrapbook designers at Top Line Creations. This week I’ll get you all caught up on the new Buyer’s Club, and all of the sneak peeks they’ve been giving us of the new products coming out in June! So-stay tuned! And check out the new TLC Buyer’s Club through my link - http://www.member.topline-creations.com/lhaugh - and memorize these 6 numbers 420635 - LOL!

7 Things You May Not Know About Me

Tagged again! My good friend Patty Gale posted after she was tagged, and then tagged me with this one.

So here are some little known facts about yours truly ;)

1. I HATE PEAS! Don’t tell my kids! Growing up I always had to at least have a spoon full of them - and I honed the fine art of swallowing them whole with milk after I fake chewed them. To this day, my kids don’t know that I’m not really chewing my peas - but I am being the good Mom in setting the example by eating my veggies. Don’t ever let me run out of milk!

2. I’m the oldest of 3 girls, and despite the fact that we are all adults, I still refer to them as my “little sisters”.

3. I have a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, and used it for almost 15 years before coming to work at home. I worked for an agency that helped people with disabilities, doing job training and placement.

4. I was once fluent, now a little rusty, at American Sign Language. My Rehab. Counseling specialty was working with the hearing impaired. I’ve actually been able to dust off my skills a little as my oldest son has started learning sign language in school.

5. I drive a 1994 Pontiac Sunbird - and it has less than 50, 000 miles on it! So I may be driving it for another 13 years!

6. I am addicted to caffeine - and while this is not unusual by any stretch of the imagaination, I know that it’s not known about me by most - just my closest late night online friends! LOL

7. I am generally a shy person - a lot more comfortable talking to someone online than in person. Of course being in direct sales I force myself out of my comfort zone, but that’s a good thing!

So, there you have it - harder than I thought it was going to be. Feel like you know me better?? Now get to know these blogging online friends of mine!
